At planting and during the seedling stage
Start of the rainy season
DAP goes on at the start of the rains or as basal at planting. This urea rate does not apply to dragon fruit or grapes.
Four applications during the rainy season
The licence also allows NPK 20-20-15 (1,000–1,200 kg/ha per year in four applications), NPK 10-10-6 (1,000–1,500 kg/ha per year in four) or NPK 17-7-18 (1,000 kg/ha per year in three).
After fruit set
High potassium gives larger, firmer fruit and reduces fruit drop.
Start of the dry season and start of the rainy season
Helps limit flower and young-fruit drop; the potassium-rich NK 4-14 supports larger, well-coloured, evenly ripening fruit.
Together with the first irrigation
Year-round, alongside fertiliser applications
NEB-26 can be mixed with manure or other fertilisers and applied at the base.
