On 27 February 2026 the staff of Minh Tam Agricultural Development JSC gathered under a banner reading “14th anniversary, 27/02/2012 – 27/02/2026”. Guests came to offer congratulations, flowers changed hands and group photos were taken. Fourteen years is not long for an agricultural company, but it has been long enough for Minh Tâm to pass a number of memorable milestones.
2012: starting with inorganic fertilisers and rice seed
Minh Tâm was founded on 27 February 2012 in Quảng Nam, starting with two lines of work: inorganic fertilisers and rice seed. From the outset the company chose a path that was “slow but sure, simple but steady”, building on research and production.
Late in 2012, working with international experts, Minh Tâm gained access to NEB-26 technology from the USA, a product based on plant root exudates. The Minh Tâm Urea line grew out of this, and today every Minh Tâm-branded fertiliser has NEB-26 (USA) added, with “+ NEB 26 Hoa Kỳ” printed on the bag.
2014–2018: standardising the products
From 2014 Minh Tâm issued company standards for each product in turn, from raw materials to urea, DAP, SA and the NPK lines. On 25 September 2018 the company received fertiliser production certificate no. 0102/GCN-BVTV-PB, which was re-issued on 25 September 2023.
2019: the Minh Tâm Fertiliser and Seed Processing Factory opens
2019 was a turning point: the Minh Tâm Fertiliser and Seed Processing Factory at Lot A2, Quế Cường Industrial Cluster began operating, producing DAP, SA and the Minh Tâm NPK lines and processing seed. After the administrative reorganisation of July 2025, the factory's address is now Quế Sơn Trung Commune, Đà Nẵng: the same factory, under new place names.
Products for every stage of the crop
Today the Minh Tâm range includes Minh Tâm Urea, DAP, SA, the NPK grades 20-20-15, 16-16-8, 20-5-5+10S, 17-7-18, 20-8-25 and 10-10-6, and the liquid fertilisers NPK 3.5-10-6, NK 4-14 and PK 11-7. In seed, Minh Tâm supplies certified Huong Thuan 8 rice and Nep DT52 glutinous rice. NEB-26 (USA) is imported and distributed by Minh Tâm.
2023–2025: into growing media and the uplands
On 21 February 2023 in Quảng Nam, Minh Tâm and the Soils and Fertilizers Research Institute (SFRI) launched the project “Applying science and technology to build production models for organic growing media and microbial fertilisers for forestry, medicinal and ornamental plants in Quảng Nam Province”, under the Rural and Mountainous Areas Programme. Over the next two years the project trained staff in microbial culture, produced its first batch of growing media and microbial fertiliser, and set up a ba kích model in Tây Giang and a model for flowers and ornamentals.
The same conference presented an SFRI-led project on a dedicated organic base medium for Ngọc Linh ginseng. For Minh Tâm, this marked a move from fertilisers into growing media for medicinal plants, flowers and ornamentals.
What has not changed in 14 years
The motto “Cooperate to grow – Share to prosper” is printed on our packaging and was on the anniversary banner. In its own words, Minh Tâm aims to be “not just a business, but a companion” to farmers, working with “dedication, responsibility and faith in the value of sustainable agriculture”.

Towards the next chapter
Entering its fifteenth year, Minh Tâm continues to grow in the directions it has chosen: crop seed, organic fertiliser and growing media. In seed, the goal is to move from contract processing to owning variety rights; in fertilisers, to step up organic fertiliser production alongside the inorganic lines enriched with NEB-26 (USA).
